Merry Christmas 2005 To our friends near and far, we are so thankful that you are part of us, our Timber Wolf Point family. Even if it has been quite some time since you were here, you are part of our memories and history. Your smile or conversation, just you being you, relating and interacting brings so many fond memories. Thank you and God bless you as we celebrate the birth of Jesus the Christ, our Savior, now and throughout the New Year. Here are a few updates on our family: Honey and Adam are expecting their first child in January. We are all very excited about this new addition. However, there is a down side as Adam is in the Minnesota National Guard and has spent the last 3 months in Mississippi in training for deployment to Iraq. He will be home for about 3 weeks for Christmas and the birth of the baby. Honey has moved home to live here at the resort and have the support of her family. We are proud of Adam and the sacrifice he is making for our country. Eric and Amber are remodeling their home. They are doing a beautiful job. They are also learning that projects such as they have taken on take a little longer than planned. Amber is continuing her education at the community college in Brainerd. Eric is an excellent electrician and received the top apprentice award in his union for the second year in a row. We really appreciate both Amber and Eric and their willingness to pitch in and help when they are available. Sarah and Holly are still content living with us. We really appreciate their help and vision. They have great ideas for the resort and would like to make some major improvements as we have time and money. This year they worked on grading the road and did a really good job too, as it is much improved. You can see the evidence of Holly’s rockwork all over the resort. Sarah always has a project of some kind going and is a great help with the driving to the shows. Wednesday she was learning to plow snow. They are a great asset to us, both at the resort and at our winter shows. Larry and Kathi are trying to keep up with everyone. We wish we could do all the improvements and fly with the ideas that the girls have but…when you’re young money is no object and you have all the time in the world. We won’t talk about what happens when you get old. We are still gypsies traveling to about 9 shows during the winter. We really wish we could share the resort with you during the winter season. It’s like a different world. Winter is so pure and pristine here at Timber Wolf Point. The snow is the whitest white, the air is the crispiest crisp, and the quiet is the quietest quiet. Even the darkness is brightest on a moonlit night. We never tire of watching the deer that come into the yard and we have had as many as 14 at one time. We have seen several wolves on the lake and that always causes great excitement. We go for walks almost every day and it is always fun to see the new animal tracks. We really believe you would enjoy the peaceful, quiet, beauty we have here.
