Weather: Yesterday's high was 72, this morning's low was 50.   

We are working on a new format for the web site and have been waiting for a rainy day and time.

All of our docks were damaged when the ice went out this year. So we are getting along with just the one in front of the Voyageur and now the one on the point, it is crooked but it works.  Here are some pictures of the damaged docks.

Weather: Yesterday's high was 59, this morning's low was 32.  Yesterday was nice in the morning but in the afternoon we had spurts of rain showers. Today looks windy and cold. 

All of our docks were damaged when the ice went out this year. So we are getting along with just the one in front of the Voyageur.  In the18 years since we've had these docks we never had damage like this year. Hopefully we can get some pictures up of the damaged docks. They should be fixed and out by sometime in June.

Little Heidi went home yesterday and everyone is doing good. We will pick up Mom on Monday so she can help get the cabins ready for Memorial weekend.

Weather: Yesterday's high was 64, this morning's low was 39.  Yesterday was a beautiful day, sunny and warm. Too bad we were inside cabins all day. 

Little Heidi was born at 5:30 this morning. Everyone is doing fine.  Now Mom can come home.

Weather: Yesterday's high was 59, this morning's low was 40.  Yesterday morning we had a hard frost but it warmed up nice. 

We finally have internet at the resort and can now update this page. We are busy running around getting the cabins ready for this weekend, it takes longer to clean with only two cleaners. We miss Mom.  Mom is staying with Honey and Adam in Spring Valley until Honey has her baby due any time now.

Weather: Yesterday's high was 35, this morning's low was 15.  It is getting colder each morning.  Today is partly sunny.

Our email has been on the blink so if you have tried to contact us and had your email returned to you please try again.  I have changed our email address and I should be able to get them now.    

 I am sorry I haven't been updating this we have been really busy.  The leaves are turning color and falling and you can smell fall in the air.  I am working on a new page called Our Home it is a work in progress so please keep checking it.  I have pictures to update the 2006 page when I have time for that.

Weather: Yesterday's high was 60°.  This morning's low was 40°.   Yesterday was windy.  Today the sun is shining and it is very windy. 

This year 2006:   Yesterday was a good day to be outside doing yard work. Larry and the girls plan on going fishing tonight so hopefully we will have a fish dinner. Fishing opener was the traditional cold, wet, and windy, but we had fun anyway. Check out our new toy a 21 foot pontoon boat; Pictures are up on the 2006 page.

This year 2006:   Yesterday we were busy cleaning cabins, and getting things ready. This weekend looks like a traditional fishing opener cold, wet, and windy. Check out our new toy a 21 foot pontoon boat; Pictures are up on the 2006 page.

Weather: Yesterday's high was 64°.  This morning's low was 41°.   Yesterday was nice in the morning and rainy in the afternoon.  Today it is raining and it doesn't look like it will let up. 

This year 2006:   Yesterday we were busy cleaning cabins and even baby Gloria helped. Mom and dad made it safely to Kansas for their show which starts on Thursday. Opener is this Saturday. Also we have a new toy a 21 foot pontoon boat; Pictures are up on the 2006 page.

Weather: Yesterday's high was 61°.  This morning's low was 50°.   Yesterday was a nice day.  Today it is cloudy and calm. 

This year 2006:   Sorry it has been so long since we have updated.  Gloria is still growing too fast; she is a healthy chubby baby.  Honey's foot is almost 100% better Praise God.  It also helps that we are walking twice a day to the top of the hill and that is great therapy. Opener is this Saturday. We are busy cleaning cabins and getting the place ready for our guests. We also have a new toy a 21 foot pontoon boat; Pictures are up on the 2006 page.

Weather: Yesterday's high was 25°.  This morning's low was 0°.   Yesterday was a nice sunny January day.  Today it is cloudy and has warmed up fast. 

This year 2006:   It has been a week and Gloria is growing too fast. Pictures are up on the 2006 page. Sarah and Holly have a couple pictures of her on their blog. Honey and Gloria are doing fine. Adam was here for a couple days and changed all but 3 diapers. We sure miss him and are praying for his safety.

Weather: Yesterday's high was 28°.  This morning's low was 15°.   Yesterday was cloudy and it snowed about an inch.  Today it is windy and snowing some. 

This year 2006:   Yesterday January 23, 2006 Gloria June Larson was born at 9:01pm She weighed 7 pounds 5.6 ounces and was 21 inches long. The Proud parents are Honey June Larson and Adam Larson. Adam was allowed to come home for a couple days from the Army. We will have pictures later this week so keep checking in.

Weather: Yesterday's high was 23°.  This morning's low was 8°.   Yesterday was cloudy and it snowed about an inch.  Today the sun is shining. 

The days seem to just fly by.  We had a very nice Christmas season.  We had a lot of company, the kids were all home and it was a very special season.  I just didn't get to the computer at all.  I should have Sarah and Holly do this but they are busy with their newsy news and blog.  Larry Sarah and Holly are in Pennsylvania right now and I am home with Honey.  She is due to have her baby any day now.  If you read the Christmas 2005 letter it will explain what is going on this year.  If you would like to make a reservation for the coming summer I should be home most evenings unless I am at the hospital with Honey.  We try to walk every day and are out of the house from 1-3.  I will try to keep up with the emails.  I know I get behind with them.

Weather: Yesterday's high was 29°.  This morning's low was 18°.   Yesterday was Cold and windy by the lake but nice on top of the hill. Today is cloudy but feels warmer. 

This year 2005:   The lake froze while we were gone and there is a little snow on the ground.  I put some pictures up of some leather stuff we sell at shows. Hopefully we can get the rest up this week.

This year 2005:   It is now the end of September and another summer has come to a close.  The leaves have really been nice this fall even though it was dry.  I put some pictures up from a few days ago of the leaves on the trees and a sunset

This year 2005:  It rained hard in the night and is soaking into the ground now. We really needed it. It was a beautiful weekend and fun to be out in the woods. The leaves are in their prime right now.

This year 2005:  It rained in the night just enough to settle the dust.  The sunset was very pretty last night I put a picture of it up along with a huge cucumber we found hiding in the garden.

Weather: Yesterday's high was 60°.  This morning's low was 40°.   Yesterday it was perfect sweat shirt weather.  Today it is nice but a little breezy.  We still need rain.

This year 2005:  Some of the leaves are starting to turn their brilliant colors yet we need rain to stop the others from just shriveling up. The lake has been pretty quiet the last week kids are back in school and summer is over.

Weather: Yesterday's high was 68°.  This morning's low was 51°.   Yesterday it was nice but a bit windy. Today it is beautiful again and calm another perfect fall day.

This year 2005:  Last night we had a camp fire and watched the northern lights. They weren't very colorful but it was fun watching the falling stars and being out. The lake is perfectly calm.

Weather: Yesterday's high was 70°.  This morning's low was 50°.   Yesterday it was nice but a bit windy. Today it is nice again and a perfect fall day.

This year 2005:  The weekend was nice and warm. The silly sisters went to the State Fair on Labor day to get the favorite parents. They are all home now and have taken the rest of the week off.  The oldest child and her husband are here for a couple of days with their puppy.

Weather: Yesterday's high was 60°.  This morning's low was 47°.   Yesterday it warmed up a bit and the wind calmed down. Today the lake is like glass and the sun is shining.

This year 2005:  The silly sisters are still playing phase 10.  The resort has people running around and fishing and the weather looks good.  Last night we saw the Northern lights. They were amazing with the green, yellow, and red spheres dancing in the sky; it was breath taking. Wish we had some pictures, we need a more expensive camera though.

Weather: Yesterday's high was 55°.  This morning's low was 50°.   Yesterday was cold and windy. Today it is still on the cool side, but not quite so windy.

This year 2005:  Yesterday the silly sisters played phase 10 some more and got the cabins ready for today.  This is the last weekend for the State Fair and the favorite parents are ready to come home. The silly sisters are running around waiting for the guests to arrive.

This year 2005:  Yesterday the silly sisters mowed the lawn and a croquet course. The Favorite parents are doing good and are behaving themselves. The silly sisters are getting ready for the big weekend.

This year 2005:  Yesterday the laundry got done and the silly sisters collected fire wood for the fire ring on the point. The Two silly sisters walked on one of the trails they have been clearing for hiking this fall.

Weather: Yesterday's high was 71°.  This morning's low was 50°.   Yesterday was rainy in the morning and nice in the after noon. Today it is a beautiful day. The lake is calm and a deep blue.

This year 2005:  Yesterday the favorite mother tried to convince everyone that it was Labor Day so that the State Fair would be over. It did not work.  The Two silly sisters have been clearing trails for hiking this fall.

Weather: Yesterday's high was 70°.  This morning's low was 52°.   Yesterday was mostly sunny. Today it is sprinkling and a little windy

This year 2005:  This past weekend the two silly sisters cleaned cabins as usual and then took the rest of the weekend off.  They went for long walks and then played phase 10 until the one that was losing finally won.  The favorite parents are surviving the State Fair they have one week left.

This year 2005:  Yesterday the silly sisters waxed the top of the green boat and used it all up, or so they think.  The favorite parents are surviving the State Fair and want more friends to come visit them.  The silly sisters would also like more friends to visit them too.

Weather: Yesterday's high was 78°.  This morning's low was 55°.   Yesterday was sunny all day.  This morning is cloudy.

This year 2005:  The favorite parents are out gallivanting at the State Fair so their two precious little girls will be updating the page for the next two weeks.  Yesterday the middle child and the youngest child decided to play in a pile of dirt that had been sitting on the point almost all summer. There is no pile there anymore.  Our garden is still growing good and the Deer haven't been in there yet Thanks to the favorite mothers deer spray.

Weather: Yesterday's high was 70°.  This morning's low was 45°.   Yesterday was sunny all day but cool.  It looks like more of the same today.

This year 2005:  We have had some nice weather this August.  We even went sailing while my folks were up.   I took some new pictures and put them on the 2005 page. Our garden is growing good and the Deer Repellent seems to be working pretty good although they still can't resist the green beans.

This year 2005:  Today the girls hope to have fish for dinner, I will have a back up as always. It is starting to feel like summer.

Weather: Yesterday's high was 55° and raining.  This morning's low was 50°  with clear skies and a nice breeze.   

This year 2005:  The garden is turning green with new little plants coming up. We got an 1 1/2" of rain yesterday and hope the docks don't have to be brought up again. Larry saw two fawns by the pond on Sunday. Kathi and the girls went to Brainerd last weekend to visit with family and see cousins from out of state.

Weather: Yesterday's high was 55°.  This morning's low was 48°   It is cold and rainy this morning.  It doesn't look like it will clear up any time soon.

This year 2005:  We had a beautiful week last week and people were catching fish but this week it started out cool and windy on Monday and it is still cool.  We planted every thing in the garden by Monday night and we have had enough rain but now we need some warm weather.  I put some new pictures on the 2005 page.

Weather: Yesterday's high was 70° in the sun.  This morning's low was 58°   It was a beautiful Memorial day. Today is looking very nice as well..

This year 2005:  The water is still high but going down fast now. Maybe tomorrow we can take the canoes off the dock. Memorial weekend is over and we can great summer full force now. We are ready.  The rain has brought the water up; so on the dock, off the point, sit two canoes full of water and a boat to hold the planks down.   The Docks are ready for fishing. Larry and the girls finished them yesterday. Fishing opener was cold and rainy just like the last several years. We had a wonderful Mother's day weekend.  The kids were all home and my folks were up.  The weather was beautiful for hiking and fishing.  We tried to get some crappies but they weren't biting.  It was just fun to be outside.  We celebrated Eric's birthday on Friday night and had family and friends over for supper on Saturday evening.  Now we have to really get to our spring cleaning and startup for the summer season.  We have one dock ready the rest will be falling into place soon.     I put new pictures on the 2005 page.

Weather: Yesterday's high was 80°.  This morning's low was 54°  We had a beautiful weekend.  This morning it is raining.

This year 2005:  We had a wonderful Mother's day weekend.  The kids were all home and my folks were up.  The weather was beautiful for hiking and fishing.  We tried to get some crappies but they weren't biting.  It was just fun to be outside.  We celebrated Eric's birthday on Friday night and had family and friends over for supper on Saturday evening.  Now we have to really get to our spring cleaning and startup for the summer season.  We have one dock ready the rest will be falling into place soon.     I put new pictures on the 2005 page.

Weather: Yesterday's high was 60°.  This morning's low was 30°  We had sun shine all day yesterday and today looks like more of the same.

This year 2005:  It is so nice to have an early spring.  The frogs are croaking in the pond and making a racket.  The birds are chirping and so busy all day.  I love hearing the waves lapping against the shore.  Holly and I even found some pretty flowers.  I'm not sure what they are.  They smell great too.   I put new pictures on the 2005 page.

Weather: Yesterday's high was 85°.  This morning's low was 54°  Our weather has been unbelievable, clear sunny days comfortable nights.  Better than all last summer.  They say it could rain today but...I did hear some thunder earlier but the sun is shining right now.

This year 2005:  With this beautiful weather we have had all week we have been outside a lot.  With the lake frozen over it is always cooler by the lake and as we take our walks up the driveway we have to shed our coats and sweaters.  Well, the ice went off the lake last Thursday afternoon (April 14) and it is still cooler by the lake.  Anyway we spent a good share of the afternoon watching the ice pile on the point and across the lake.  It's amazing how much power that ice has. Sarah and Holly now have a new job description here at the resort.  They are our grader operators.
